A decent sunset has been sorely lacking from this blog in recent times, an omission which I was more than happy to correct on Thursday. After a hectic week we treated ourselves to fish and chips before moving on to Cefn Bryn to watch the sun sink and absorb our daily dose of wild. Despite a surprisingly chilly wind conditions were virtually perfect and the wide open spaces were just what I needed to unwind and reset. Off in the distance swathes of Cotton-grass glinted in the dying rays, wild ponies frolicked nearby and the very air we breathed was laden with salt whipped inland from the ocean just beyond our reach. It coated skin and ground alike leaving white residue on areas of exposed soil and a feeling within me that I will forever associate with the coast. It really was a magical time of day and one that reawakened within me a burning desire to get back to Mull as soon as possible. That urge to make a leap into the unknown and build the life I really want grows ever stronger.
