Hello!

Welcome to My Life Outside, a place to share and indulge my two passions in life – wildlife and the great outdoors.. For the past ten years I’ve been publishing images and tales from our adventures, focussed mainly here in the UK but with occasional excursions further afield. Along the way we’ve self-built a camper van, taken up sea kayaking, climbed the highest peak in each home nation, surveyed cetaceans crossing the Irish Sea and on one memorable afternoon even found ourselves defending ice lollies from a pack of Barbary Macaques.

Currently based in Wales we’re planning our move to a new home base in the Scottish Highlands where I intend to continue writing, photographing and developing this site to include not only an online shop but also walking guides, gear reviews and much more besides. Until then please head on over to the blog to find out what we’ve been up to and the latest news regards our “big move”.

Bioluminescent Plankton, Aberavon
